Start with the basics, then add managed IT, cybersecurity, device management, or ongoing service agreements as your business grows.
Get to Know Me
I started my IT journey back in 1994 working for a local school district—originally just looking for a way to spend more time in the computer lab and less time in class. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a lifelong career.
Over the years, I’ve worked across multiple industries including healthcare, MSPs, assisted living communities, education, retail, and more. This broad experience allows me to understand different business needs and provide practical, real-world IT solutions.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time on the North Bend Dunes, cooking and BBQing, playing games, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with my kids.
Here are some fun questions to help you get to know me a little better.
Wanting to get out of class in high school to spend time in the computer lab.
Since the early 1990s—professionally starting in 1994.
Getting to know them, finding common ground, and treating them like friends—not just clients.
I have a real passion for cooking, baking, and BBQ.
Coffee or tea—has to be hot and caffeinated. Don’t fall for decaf… it’s a trap.
A “broken cup holder”… which turned out to be a CD drive holding someone’s coffee mug around 2002.
All three—depends on the task. Windows for gaming, Mac for creative work, and Linux for coding.
My phone—I feel lost without it.
Don’t click links or attachments unless you can verify the sender—when in doubt, call.
Preventing it—every time.
Riding the dunes or flying.
If I told you… you’d find me 😊 Let’s just say I’m either at home or out enjoying life.
Doctor Who, especially the BBC days.
Depends on the mood—and how awake I need to stay.
Early bird.
North Bend Dunes.
Broken Anchor in Bandon—highly recommend.
Both—that’s why Oregon is the best.
People helping people and all the local activities.
Probably working on older cars or trucks—or building something.
A 2026 JMB VL3 airplane.
The art of negotiation.
Yes—and if you disagree… you’re wrong 😊
My Mastiffs—big, kind, gentle, and fun.
Coffee and a snack from a local shop.
Cleaning up after the pets.
I take the time to understand what you actually need—not what I can sell you. I keep things simple, honest, and treat you like a friend giving advice—even if you don’t choose to work with me right away.
Local, friendly support that goes the extra mile—combined with real-world experience and a focus on long-term relationships.
I will always be honest and responsive. No surprises, no runaround—you’ll always know what’s going on.
I take IT off your plate so you can focus on running your business. I prevent issues before they happen and explain everything in plain English—so you’re never left guessing.
Mission
Lighthouse Cyber Solutions LLC exists to help small and mid-sized organizations make better technology decisions without confusion, pressure, or enterprise-level complexity. The goal is to become a trusted technology partner for businesses that need dependable support, honest communication, and a clear path forward.
Operating standards
The business plan is being supported by a detailed two-year proforma that ties expenses, start-up equipment, recurring services, break-even targets, client growth, and future staffing together.
Managed clients are planned with time for onboarding, monitoring, patching, documentation, user support, vendor coordination, security awareness, and regular account reviews.
The break-even model is based on fixed monthly costs, variable endpoint costs, annual business expenses, tool licensing, insurance, accounting, marketing, and expected recurring revenue per client.
Additional technical help will be added when client count, ticket volume, onsite demand, and recurring revenue support the workload and compensation requirements.
Vision & Motto
“To be the beacon of cybersecurity and IT excellence—illuminating the path forward for businesses, protecting their future, and redefining what trusted technology partnership means.”
